Pier-Olivier Turcot is an intellectual property technical advisor working primarily on drafting and prosecuting patents in the fields of aerospace, mechanical, biomedical and electronics. Pier-Olivier has a B. Eng. in mechanical engineering (aeronautics) from Polytechnique Montréal, a bachelor of civil law from University of Montreal and a masters in air and space law from the Institute of Air and Space Law, McGill University.

Having worked on the development of numerous systems and parts (avionics, engines, structure, acoustics, aerodynamics) during his years at a Canadian multinational manufacturer in the aerospace industry, he is very familiar with the intricacies of complex high-tech R&D.

Pier-Olivier advises clients on the best approach to ensure optimal patent protection with regard to their needs and objectives. His background and experience allow him to draft strong patent applications, prosecute them efficiently and further provide useful expertise on technology and legal matters.

He is fluent in French and English.
